A day of waiting around and travel. Had to be out of cabins by 8:30. Docked in Passau at 10:30. Taxi to train station. Two hour ride to Munich and the another 30-40 minutes on a 2nd train to the airport. We are now at the Sheraton and getting ready to go to dinner. Catching a 6:30 shuttle to the airport for our 9 am flight to London tomorrow.
update on Sept. 15: The Sheraton felt luxuious after our cramped quarters on the ship. The big joke at dinner was that you could sit on the commode without your knees either hitting the door or sticking into the shower. See picture of ship "facilities."
We had an absolutely delicious meal at an Italian restaurant just up the road from the hotel and then a relatively early night for all. Anne had scheduled a taxi to pick her up at 3:45 AM - ugh! We caught the 6:30 shuttle to the airport so up at 5 AM.
